Ryan's love of symmetry and nature began early in life, while he played in the woods surrounding his family home in St. Louis, MO. Pursuing a degree in art & design, he completed his studies at CSU Long Beach, and moved to Seattle where he worked for several years as a graphic designer.
When his youngest daughter was born, Ryan decided to stay at home with her, and during this time of nurture and collaboration; Light Razor Design Studio was born. Ryan is a local favorite at ongoing markets and regional craft fairs like Fremont Sunday Market, and many of the Urban Craft Uprising events since 2018. His love of art and design has merged with the development of innovative technology, and he can be found most weekdays in his workshop, in West Seattle, where he lives with his wife, 3 daughters, and 2 dogs.
Every piece is custom conceptualized, designed, cut, engraved, hand-dyed, finished, & assembled by me alone. I utilize computer software and a laser as tools to create each piece, which are then crafted, finished, assembled, and handled one at a time.
Let me know if there is anything I can do to help, and please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. Have a look around and see if there's something special just for you. Enjoy!
